Book, books, books, books. I don't think I need to say much more. If Mom has a stack of books next to the bed... If Mom always has a book stashed in her purse... If she clutches her Nook or Kindle tight all day long... If Mom spends her free-time at the library... These are for her.
They're meaningful, they're beautiful, they're elegant, they're fun (Just like Mom and her books).

If you've been following along, I rained on the "give mom flowers" parade. Their beauty is fleeting. They just don't last... but I still love flowers. I've found you some of the BEST flower and floral alternatives and their beauty WILL last a lifetime.

Now, say it like they do on Dora the Explorer (if you don't have ankle biters, disregard).
Now, imagine Johnny Depp saying it....
Isn't it the best thing in the world?
I'm not an everyday chocolate person, but there are days that I CRAVE chocolate nearly as much as my morning coffee. I have a stash. A secret supply of salted dark chocolate. Bliss.
Send mom chocolate. Trust me.

Flowers are fine and dandy, but let's be frank: they're dead and don't last long. How the flowers are delivered and displayed... that can last a lifetime. Vases, vases, and vases. Bud vases, wall vases, glass vases, wood vases, painted vases... the vase matters.
Make Mother's Day special with the perfect vase for Mom.

I love yoga. I love meditation. I love the teachings of Buddha. I don't do enough yoga. I don't meditate enough. I often forget about Buddha. I need reminders. I need to more fully incorporate them in to my life to find my center. To just breathe. To remember to keep it simple. To smile more. Laugh more. To keep my core strong. To see the beauty.
I'm sure I'm not alone on this journey for change and betterment... in my mind, my body, and every aspect of my life. Or maybe I should just seek to stand still...
Here are my picks for the yoga loving, meditating, zen mom in your life.

I think I need to preface this with a big old, "Calm Down!" I don't really like wine. Well... I like it... but I'm picky and wine just gives me a headache. I'm party-pooper. Sorry. That said, I know many many many mothers love their wine. The kids are in bed (finally) and the house is quiet (finally) and they want to put their feet up (before cleaning the kitchen for the 10th time that day) and just have a glass of wine.
Cheers ladies. This is for you.... but let's keep it classy and include cheese too.

I love things that sparkle & shine. I love the softness of silver. I adore gray. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy... and thankfully, gray is one of this year's "IT" colors.
May I present to you a fabulous collection of silver and gray finds? A bit sophisticated. A bit understated. Refined, but still fun.

Those are many of us who love our coffee... we live off coffee and sunshine (or rain). Since motherhood is a sick experiment in sleep deprivation, coffee is essential to our lives. For some of us, it's part of our identity.
To all the Mom's of the world... I raise my mug o' joe to you!
Now, check out these cool coffee finds! I bet one would be perfect for your mom ;)

Our energy bills here at the new house were sky high, so we replaced a few key appliances in hopes of bringing down the monthly bills.
I'm not sure a bottom freezer was a wise choice for a family with small kids.
Before, they had easy access to the veggies bins. Oh no (very sarcastic), they've gone on a celery binge. Shoot! They're helping themselves to the carrots again...
Now... it's popsicles and MY ice cream. The little boogers help themselves all day long. I find wrappers in the yard and under the kitchen table... and the empty boxes in the freezer. I ask the little darlings (with the sticky faces) where the popsicles might have gone.
I get blank stares.
They tell me the dog ate them.
They're 100% juice, so it could be worse... but now that the popsicles are gone, they've moved on to my ice cream. Boo.
Let's not beat around the bush... it can be hard to shop for mom... but I'm here to help! Each day, I'll be presenting amazing gift ideas - from traditional to bold and unique.
If you've followed along, you've seen the state of my bathroom. It currently has a new floor and new tub, but that's about it. I get to stare at insulation peeping out between the studs and plumbing... and usually a few small kids are there to help by throwing toys and shoes at me. I'm LUCKY if I get to toss in an old sock filled with oats. Oh, the oatmeal bath, how I love you. So silky and smooth... and the smell is divine.
But what if... just what if.... what if I had lovely bath products... it makes my head swoon.
Check out these great finds!
